Our History

Park Street Group’s founders met in 2000 while working as Investment Advisers at Merrill Lynch in Sydney. They quickly forged what has been an enduring partnership and friendship based upon shared values of honesty, integrity and transparency in working with clients.

In 2001, when Merrill Lynch closed its Australian based private-client business, Peter and James moved to Salomon Smith Barney (Citigroup) bringing their clients with them.

In 2005 James and Peter established the Park Street Group name for their business, with the intention of clearly defining their advice and high-service offering. Elvis Santos and Jodie van Loo joined the team in 2006 and 2011 respectively.

Following the sale of Citigroup’s global wealth management business to Morgan Stanley, the Park Street Group team left Morgan Stanley in 2013 to begin operating under its own independent Australian Financial Services Licence. Many of Park Street Group’s clients today have been with the team since their early days at Merrill Lynch and Citigroup.

Park Street Group’s focus today remains unchanged… to provide financial peace of mind to a select group of clients through proactive, comprehensive and customised wealth management advice.
